One Hunter down
Here is the first hunter completed. I had to just finish one I cannot seem to get into assembly line painting of the gears. It just feels like I'm gettin' nothin' done.

Second Gear on the horizon
Next up is a bigger, meaner Gear; the Assault Grizzly. He will be sporting a Heavy Bazooka, a Disposable Pack gun and a pair of Rocket pods.
I built my Assault Grizzly with old style round rocket pods. I had to build new mounts for the pods to fit them next to the heavy bazooka. I think they turned out ok.
First one almost done

The Garage is Open
Here is a WIP test model for my Northern Guard army. It's a Jaguar gear for my Strike Squad. It is one of five models I hadn't build during my previous HG gaming, all pre-Blitz resculpt. He will be joined by a pair of Hunter Gears, an Assault Grizzly and a Kodiak. (Oh how I love Kodiak gears!) Hopefully this will be a legal Strike Squad for LaL; if not it'll be fun to paint.

Locked and Loaded
With the release of the latest set of Heavy Gear rules "locked and loaded" from Dream Pod 9, I've decided it is high time to start gaming in this wonderful world again.
To those unfamiliar with the game and setting, Heavy Gear is a Sci-Fi game with a focus on "Heavy Gears" they are roughly 15 foot tall armored suits that bridge the gap between conventional infantry and armored vehicles. Heavy Gears make up about half of each army list, the other half is filled with Tanks/AFV's, Infantry, Artillery and Aircraft.
This blog will chronicle my painting and gaming for the Heavy Gear setting. Up first will be my Northern Guard army focused on a Gear Regiment of my own creation.
